Fashion Over 40

If you are over weight, and over 40, where can you shop for clothes? The department stores are of no help. They all cater to the tweens and teens, or the very slim. Even the upscale stores don’t have styles to accommodate every occasion. I have noticed that even if you are average weight, the fashions are juvenile and unflattering. Everyone wants to look stylish at any age and size and if it was available it would sell, so what’s the problem? Why are fashion designers not capitalizing on this vast market?
I want to look classy, neat, and have clothes that fit well. Shops for larger woman are getting better but larger doesn’t always mean taller and that seems to be who they cater to. Catalogs for larger woman tend to run the same way. Catalogs for average size woman are very expensive and limited. I have been doing most of my clothes shopping on QVC. They have every size range, some petites, and a myriad of styles. I wish I could go to a mall and shop and try on and pick and choose but that doesn’t happen any more. I miss it and even though stores complain about the economy perhaps they should look to their selections before blaming anything or anyone
